Philipp Jeske

Philipp was born in Kaliningrad, the Russian exclave in the Baltic States. He first studied political science before enrolling in a photojournalism programme. He often worked in Eastern Europe during his studies and wrote his second bachelor's thesis on a Ukrainian volunteer unit that supported their army in the conflict in eastern Ukraine– the outcome of his research was published as a multimedia story in the digital edition of SPIEGEL in 2016. After concluding his Master's degree in journalism, he worked primarily on his freelance projects until 2023, when he decided to join the Handbook Germany : Together multimedia team.
